Sealed containers – Your complete guide
First, the sealed*/airtight package facilitates a longer shelf life for your product, particularly when dealing with various types of cookies and baked goods. Additionally, the seal prevents liquid from leaking out of take-away packages, when the customer picks them up or when the package is delivered.
It is important to note that when it comes to packages, there are two types of airtight seals:
- An airtight seal on the shelf – in the store or supermarket.
- An airtight seal in the customer’s home – after the package is opened.
There are many packages, which after opening no longer seal. In other words, when the customer opens the package at home, the baked goods dry out.
It’s important to note that the customer doesn’t remember the “first bite,” when the pastry is still fresh, but will always remember the “last bite,” when the pastry was dry, after it was stored unsealed in their home.
Three main factors responsible for the airtight seal in Plasto-Vack packages:
- The structure of the package has sealing grooves with an internal tension structure (creating fixed pressure of the cover on the bottom).
- New and advanced computerized system that enables a high level of precision.
- Strict quality control, which ensures uniformity of the seal level throughout the production series. The most important is to preserve a uniform and high seal level throughout the entire production process. This is only possible when quality control at the manufacturing facility is strict and places heavy emphasis on the special sealing grooves.
